• How are your juices different?

    In many ways!

    First and foremost, we only use cold pressed machines to squeeze our raw vegetables and fruits so that we will never ever compromise on the integrity of our juices. Click here if you are interested in finding out more about cold pressing.

    The A-Team also takes pride in using our creative juices to add a magical touch to our menu. We source regionally as much as possible and concoct every juice with taste and nutrition in mind. Take a look at our juice offerings and you will know we've got the most exciting and nutrient-dense concoctions in town!

    Also, you can trust that you will always be in good hands. We use leading nutrition research to ground our choices - no cheating, no hogwash. Nutritional goodness is never a fad to us.

  • Your prices are kinda steep!

    Ack! We know, but there is a good reason to it! All our juices are 100% raw and carefully prepared in-house by the A-Team everyday.

    We've also taken the step to be conscientious about our packaging choices and have chosen to have our juices bottled in glass.

    Every bottle of juice is never subject to artificial means such as pasteurization and high pressure processing (HPP) to extend their shelf life. This is all to make sure you definitely get your money is worth in goodness!

  • What do you mean when you say your juices are raw?

    This means that absolutely nothing in our juices have be cooked, subjected to high temperatures or pasteurized.

    Pasteurization is a process used in many edible goods where the produce is heated to an extremely high temperature for a short period of time before being rapidly cooled down. This process is relied upon to kill off potentially harmful bacterial and reduce the risk of contamination so that products can remain on the shelf for an extended period of time.

    Bad news is the method actually annihilates much of the good enzymes and nutrients along with the harmful bacteria. This means that carton of juice you always pick up is actually what we call a zombie juice – a ghastly mimic that is in nowhere similar to what it was created from. So yes, we are up in arms against tampering with the natural life of juices at the expense of nutritional benefits.

  • How will I receive my juices?

  • Your juices separate and look pretty icky when it settles. Should I be worried?

    Not at all – in fact you should be more concerned if it doesn’t. Separation is natural because we do not add any binders or additives to our juices. Simply shake it up and prepare yourself for a delicious burst of flavor and goodness!

  • How long do your juices last? Is refrigeration necessary? 

    Because none of our juices are artificially preserved in any way, we use the term ‘alive’ to describe them. This means that they have to be refrigerated and consumed within 72 hours.

    If you lose track of time, we’ve stuck a sticker on each bottle to indicate when the goodness within would start dissipating!

  • I’ve heard that fruit juice is chockfull of sugar and that makes it an unhealthy choice. Is that true?

    If you have been chugging down processed juices from the grocery store then this worry is definitely not unfounded. Those deceptive cartons actually contain little to none of the natural goodness of the fruits and vegetables they claim to be derived from and on top of that, most of them pile on enough processed sugar to make any nutritionist weep.

    But you can throw that worry out of the window if it’s our juices you are fretting over. The sweetness that you detect in our concoctions come from the naturally occurring sugars in the juices extracted from raw vegetables and fruits put through our hydraulic presses.

    Live enzymes, vitamins and trace minerals, accompany these sugars just as it would have been if you’ve eaten the fruit or vegetable raw. So even though there is a glycemic index associated with these naturally occurring sugars, nature has worked its magic in having the companion nutrients stabilize the sugar and balance out insulin levels in your blood stream.

  • Your glass bottles are really heavy, plastic please?

    We will never budge on this! There are two key reasons why we’ve chosen to use glass bottles.

    Firstly, studies have shown that most plastic bottles used in the industry breakdown across time or when exposed to sunlight. The toxic by-products then leach into whatever it contains. We refuse and think it’s awfully irresponsible to have you drink juices that might be contaminated with toxins after you’ve made positive choices in your diet.

    Our packaging choice is also based off the A-Team’s conviction that if we were to stand up against the convenience culture that we are all a part of, a little does go a long way when it comes to helping the environment. Fact is, plastic does suck. Glass lasts way longer and is not porous –meaning it can be washed and safely reused multiple times without losing its shape or absorbing colours or odours.

  • Why do you use boxes?

    Two words: transparent pricing.

    We strongly believe in making sure you get value for your money and don’t want to pass on unnecessary cost for showy packaging. It is also a choice on our part to not intentionally produce what we are pretty sure will be often thrown away or chucked aside.

    Don’t fret too much over how to transport your juice around; we’re pretty sure you will be able to creatively use what’s around you. Pack the bottles you want to bring out in the foil wrap and use any (paper) bag you have lying around to carry them! You’re helping to reduce the carbon footprint one little step at a time!

  • Can anyone cleanse?

    The A-Team would like to emphasize that we are not doctors. We do not offer medical advice of any kind, nor do we offer medically supervised cleanses. If you have a medical condition or are on prescription medication, we would strongly advise that you consult your doctor before doing a cleanse. We also do not recommend cleansing if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under 18 years of age.

    If you are still in the clear, our advice to you is that making the decision to cleanse is ultimately a personal one. Nobody knows your body better than you do so make the choice to do what's best for it.

  • Will cleansing help me lose weight?

    You may lose one or two kilos during a cleanse but short-term weight is never the focus of any of our cleanse programs.

    Rather, we would love for you to embrace your cleanse as a chance to detoxify your body, reboot your system and break some bad habits. These actions have far more long-term positive health impacts as opposed to an unhealthy fixation with numbers on the scale.

  • How should I prepare for my cleanse?

    It is highly recommended that you prep your body for a cleanse in the days leading up to it. To do this you can start phasing out processed foods, refined flour, sugar, alcohol, caffeine, dairy and meat.

    Don't be aghast! The reason why we encourage you to do this is because the more work you do before your cleanse the easier you will find it, and the more positive the results will be.

    Keep up with drinking plenty of water and feel free to start introducing one to three juices (greens especially!) into your daily diet. Give more attention to fresh vegetables in your meals, munch on nuts and choose to have whole grains instead - trust us, it will all be worth it!

  • Am I going to be in pain?

    Going without solid food for a couple of days is hardly a minor changeso all that finger-biting is perfect understandable. However, you're in good hands so rest assured that it is going to be far easier and enjoyable than you think it would be!

    Every one of our cleanse program floods your system with delicious nutrients and enzymes so that it can do a system reboot that will leave you feeling brand spanking new.

    During the process, you may experience mild detoxification symptoms including nausea, fatigue, muscle aches and/or headaches. The best way to reduce these symptoms is by easing into your cleanse. But even if you do continue to experience any of these symptoms, just remind yourself that it is just your body doing some work to remove the gunk and nasty toxins. When you get through it, the payoff of increased energy, mental clarity, clear skin and pure joy is more than worth it.

  • Help! I'm so hungry and I swear there might be a hole in my stomach. What can I do?

    If the hunger pangs are getting to you, try increasing the amount of water you are drinking, sipping herbal tea or adding an additional juice or two to your cleanse.

    If none of these helps alleviate your misery, try munching on some raw fruits or have a light vegetable broth. Do remember these are just guidelines and we are not holding you ransom just because you are doing a cleanse. Listen to your body and do what feels right for you!

  • Do I need to drink the cleanse juices in a certain order?

    The flow of the menu has been created to make sure you enjoy and get the most out of your cleanse throughout the day but is not arbitrary.

    Having said all that, if you feel the need for the nut milk at 12pm, don’t fight it! Our cleanse order is a set of suggestions and not a strict regmine. Listening to your body triumphs everything at the end of the day – it will tell you what it needs.

  • Can I work while cleansing?

    Yes! Too many people think a cleanse is only doable during a long weekend when they can just laze around the house and not have to move an inch. This is definitely not the case. If you've done ample preparation, a cleanse will not disrupt your normal life in any way.

    That being said, your body does need to adjust and do a little bit of work during the process so don't go scheduling it during a busy and stressful week! Give yourself the time and energy to truly enjoy the process.

  • Can I exercise while on a cleanse?

    Yes, it's actually great to give you metabolism a boost while you are cleansing but do take it easy. You might be buzzing with energy but don't go overboard with your routine. Try switching out any high-intensity cardio with power walks or swims. Yoga is also a great exercise to do while cleansing because of its emphasis on deep breathing, which helps in the elimination of toxins.

  • How often should I cleanse?

    Again, there isn't a right or wrong answer to this question. Deciding how often you should cleanse is also a personal choice. Some people gun for a multiple-day cleanse every month, others prefer to do a single-day cleanse weekly. We would suggest you experiment to see what suits your body best before deciding what your cleanse routine is.
